The 1000 channel barrier for downhole 3C data has been breached!
The array consisted of 336 levels, with 1m intervals down to below the McMurray formation and then 2m intervals in the higher velocity layers below the McMurray.

A 326 level array at 1m intervals was deployed into a fibre glass well at the Containment and Monitoring Institute's Field Research Station in Newell County, Alberta. During this project for CREWES data was also collected from a DAS fibre on the outside of the well. Look out for some interesting papers that will be published over the next few years on this direct comparison.

For one of the projects during the winter, HDSC recorded over 18 million traces of data from a 327 level array during a 3D VSP + surface seismic project.
- Probably the largest 3C downhole array ever deployed.
- Probably the largest number of traces ever recorded on a single well multi-component VSP project
